Bald Ridge Lodge Makes A Real Impact

Everyone involved with Bald Ridge Lodge is making a lasting difference in vulnerable boys’ lives! Thanks to you we see young men grow up to be empowered citizens who can affect change within their own communities and break the cycle of poverty, trafficking, homelessness, and incarceration in their future generations.

Thanks to your support, Bald Ridge Lodge’s programs are helping young men successfully launch into their futures. Upon leaving Foster Care, many young people face daunting challenges like homelessness, incarceration, and unemployment, but with your help, we don’t have to accept those grim statistics for our young men! Our Independent Living Program (ILP) launched in September 2023. Within 30 days, all participants secured full-time jobs, and one will start technical college soon. We've already celebrated our first ILP graduate, now living independently! Our newest ILP residents started contributing to their expenses within two months, actively breaking the cycle of dependency.

YOU are also making it possible for young men in our Group Home to be prepared for a similar launch into a better future. Your support impacts emotional regulation, academic success, and healthy relationships. In 2023, over 200 hours of tutoring were provided, 100% of residents passed all their core classes, and our boys participated in jobs, sports, and social activities. Over the past four years, 70% of Bald Ridge Lodge boys improved emotional regulation. With your ongoing support, these young men are experiencing changed lives and new futures through education, healthy relationships, and support for independence and life skills. Thank you so much for showing up for the boys, not just today and this year, but in all the ways that this community demonstrates what it looks like to care for those in need! We are overflowing with gratitude this holiday season.

Enjoy this holiday season with your loved ones knowing you have made it possible for those less fortunate to feel that same sense of holiday gratitude!
