Bald Ridge Lodge (BRL) is a non-profit in Cumming, GA serving young men who have been removed from their homes due to abuse, neglect, and trauma. Our signature program, a 12-bed Group Home, has provided safe and stable support to young men since 2008. Additional programs, including Aftercare, Independent Living Program, and Community Based Services, support our vision that all young men impacted by trauma become thriving, self-sufficient adults who stop a generational cycle of involvement in and dependence on social services.

Our mission is to provide safe and stable support to young men in the Group Home, Independent Living Program, and Community Based Services, in a manner that nurtures the youth, strengthens healthy relationships, and aids young men in their transition to adulthood. This is accomplished through partnerships with caregivers and a community seeking to care for its own.

When you support Bald Ridge Lodge, you are providing a home where young men can be safe, have their needs met, heal from their trauma, and experience a normal teenage life. Many young people growing up in foster care experience troubling outcomes. A disturbingly high number never graduate from high school, struggle with unemployment throughout their lives, experience homelessness, and even become incarcerated.

We strive to change the trajectory of our young men’s lives by preparing them for their launch into adulthood with independent living skills, mentoring, educational supports, and access to community resources.
